Proposal Of The Marian Cycle

Proposal Of The Marian Cycle

May 13, 2024

1. In the present time, the Catholic Church has two cycles to celebrate the Nativity and the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, but the Church has no cycle to honor Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary.

2. In order to guide the children of God to focus on the Life and the Power of Our Lady, I propose one cycle annually to celebrate the mystery of Our Lady.

3. Scheduling the Marian Cycle on the Calendar: There are two alternatives before arriving at the Feast of the Queenship of Mary every year on Aug. 22:

a. If Assumption Feast (Aug. 15) is on a Sunday, then

- Preparation Sundays are 8 Sundays before the Feast of Assumption

- And the Feast of Immaculate Heart of Mary will be Saturday in the Octave of Aug. 15-22.

b. If Assumption Feast is a weekday, then:

- The 8 th Preparation Sunday will be on the Sunday just before Assumption feast day.

- And the Feast of Immaculate Heart of Mary will be Sunday during the Octave of Aug. 15-22.

4. This cycle takes the Feast of Assumption (Aug. 15) as the highest point of our devotion to Our Lady, and this cycle is composed of 3 periods of time: Preparation, Celebration, and Prolongation.

5. Time of Preparation: Composed of 8 Sundays before the Feast of Assumption (August 15 yearly), commemorating 8 great events in Our Lady’s life:

a. Sunday of Annunciation, Lk. 1:26-38, key word: Fiat

b. Sunday of Visitation, Lk. 1:37-47, key word: Magnificat.

c. Sunday of Maternity, Lk. 2:43-51, key word: Mirantes

d. Sunday of Purification, Lk. 2:22-32, key word: Conservabat.

e. Sunday of Our Lady in Cana, Jn. 2:1-12, key word: Facite

f. Sunday of Our Lady in Capharnaum, Mk. 3:31-35, key word: Stant fores

g. Sunday of Our Lady at Golgotha, Jn. 19:25-27, key word: Stabat Juxta.

f. Sunday of Our Lady at Jerusalem, Act. 1:14, key word: In Una Oratione.

6. Time of Celebration: Composed of an Octave of 8 days (from Aug. 15 to Aug. 22 every year).

a. Duration of Celebration is 8 days, from the Assumption Feast (Aug. 15), to the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to the Queenship Feast of Our Lady (Aug. 22).

b. Feast of Immaculate Heart of Mary will be Saturday or Sunday during the Octave of Celebration, depending upon whether the Assumption Feast takes place on Sunday or a weekday.

7. Time of Prolongation: Composed of 8 Sundays after the Feasts of Assumption and Queenship of Mary - to present to us the intervention of Our Lady.

a. Our Lady of Snows (1519)

b. Our Lady of Guadalupe (1551)

c. Our Lady of Lepanto (1571)

d. Our Lady of La Salette (1846)

e. Our Lady of Lourdes (1858)

f. Our Lady of Fatima (1917)

g. Our Lady of All Nations (1945-1959)

h. Our Lady of Medjugorje (1981 to present)

8. Our first schedule on the 2024 calendar to introduce this Marian Cycle is:

a. Preparation Time: 8 Sundays from June 23 to August 11, 2024.

b. Celebration Time: Assumption to Queenship of Our Lady, from Aug. 15 to Aug. 22, 2024.

c. Prolongation Time: 8 Sundays after Queenship of Our Lady, from Aug. 25 to Oct. 13, 2024.

9. Validation

That our Proposal may get the permission from Our Lord for the private devotion and then the Universal Church devotion, we pray to The Lord. Submitted in faith by,
